Beastly and unappologetic Combo of patchouli intense and aquatic notes. 10/10

Archetipo is a very unique creation from this house. So hard to describe, it’s fresh but not fresh. Woody and slightly aquatic in the opening. I honestly can’t put into words how the fragrance is but can tell you that it tests your nose well, quite challenging but yet wearable. Need to give this one more time and hopefully I can pen this one down better in the future. Regardless, don’t sleep on this one!

“Archetipo wowed me from the very first time I tried it, it is a gigantic perfume , an olfactive experience unlike any other. It is such an unusual blend, I pick up on freshness...almost sea like, the composition has a cooling green like effect meets salty oceanic ambergris . It's almost transparent to a certain point, but very dark at the same time. I also picked up on a weird but fascinating metallic woody smoky accord, yes very smoky indeed, and mineral like simultaneously. The impression is of smoke meeting water. Looking at the dark metal cap is a good way of painting a picture of the olfactive show I find in Archetipo. It is like witnessing a volcano set on fire, submerging in the darkest waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Like flames floating on the sea. I've never experienced anything quite like this in my seven years of fragrance collecting. Stunning, rare, mesmerizing, and even though I could care less than -0 about compliments, I think it is worth mentioning that I literally just got bombarded with 5 unsolicited compliments about my fragrance choice of the day within the first fifteen minutes since I arrived at work...which I was not expecting at all due to the rareness of this olfactive jewel.”

Archetipo (@mendittorosa_odori_talismans ) A somber balsamic woody amber, this is a lovely, understated but somewhat unexceptional fougere style offering from the very eclectic Italian niche line Mendittorosa. The perfume opens with notes of fir, pink pepper and frankincense. The heart is a smoky labdanum and is brief. The perfume settles into a woody powdery base of vetiver, ambergris, cashmere and oakmoss. Moderate sillage and projection and can be classified as unisex. Subtle, mysterious and enveloping and slightly more well rounded than many of the incense based offerings out there.
