a light and sweet touch of fruit in the background which was very pleasant. In dry down the Iris note fades a bit and the Violet becomes more prominent, there is the slightest bit of wood and smoke adding richness and a hint of clove here freshens the final scent up a little. I have to say this scent is beautiful and for me has a perfect balance. I love warm dry spice but here the Labadnum, cinnamon, and nutmeg settle down and become soft, warm and sweet rather that hot, dry and spicy. Several hours later you still get a waft of this warm spice appear out of nowhere and fade away again, it's just gorgeous. The slight floral in the background and that sweet fruit adds another dimension and depth to what is a beautifully rounded and versatile fragrance. This has become one of my favourites and I hope to be wearing it for many years to come. A stunning perfume and at €150 for 100ml bottle an absolute bargain!

If the complexity of your works can be reduced to colors, they won't be super bright colors or super dark colors--nothing too extreme, which I think is what makes them all so unique and separates them from the mainstream ideas of perfume. Id is very sensual. It captures the depth of love found in suffocatingly minimalist films. Id is instantly lovely and likable and to me it's just like this Shimamoto Shozo's 1957 painting I saw in the Art Institute of Chicago. At last, I want to thank you for your amazing works. It is an honor to be able to enjoy them and to be able remember the past and dream of the future along with them.”

Alluring and animalistic it conjures the since of romance, traveling to the coast and experiencing the perfect Mead wine with ripened fruits. Very vividly the notes captured the essence so well. The nose behind this fragrance is Amelie Bourgeois. Top notes are bergamot, mandarin orange and lavender; middle notes are jasmine, narcissus, rose, black currant, raspberry and pomegranate; base notes are patchouli, sandalwood, beeswax, amberwood, white musk and hyrax.

As a traveling musician, this review speaks to me. Sometimes we travel so light that all we have is our own skin. But that does not mean we have nothing. We bring life with us. The impression of all our experience stays on our skin, like the wisps of incense you experienced days later from this scent. Mendittorosa is a beautiful house. I love the slight tangy note that place in the heart of their best compositions, giving the sweetness a complexity that keeps them interesting, wear after wear. In Le Mat, I always think of the Immortel note, long after I have showered. And so I must wear it again! I would love to bring this bottle on my travels. Be well!

“Archetipo wowed me from the very first time I tried it, it is a gigantic perfume , an olfactive experience unlike any other. It is such an unusual blend, I pick up on freshness...almost sea like, the composition has a cooling green like effect meets salty oceanic ambergris . It's almost transparent to a certain point, but very dark at the same time. I also picked up on a weird but fascinating metallic woody smoky accord, yes very smoky indeed, and mineral like simultaneously. The impression is of smoke meeting water. Looking at the dark metal cap is a good way of painting a picture of the olfactive show I find in Archetipo. It is like witnessing a volcano set on fire, submerging in the darkest waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Like flames floating on the sea. I've never experienced anything quite like this in my seven years of fragrance collecting. Stunning, rare, mesmerizing, and even though I could care less than -0 about compliments, I think it is worth mentioning that I literally just got bombarded with 5 unsolicited compliments about my fragrance choice of the day within the first fifteen minutes since I arrived at work...which I was not expecting at all due to the rareness of this olfactive jewel.”

Archetipo (@mendittorosa_odori_talismans ) A somber balsamic woody amber, this is a lovely, understated but somewhat unexceptional fougere style offering from the very eclectic Italian niche line Mendittorosa. The perfume opens with notes of fir, pink pepper and frankincense. The heart is a smoky labdanum and is brief. The perfume settles into a woody powdery base of vetiver, ambergris, cashmere and oakmoss. Moderate sillage and projection and can be classified as unisex. Subtle, mysterious and enveloping and slightly more well rounded than many of the incense based offerings out there.

It's a gorgeous powdery, comforting musk, which I seem drawn to a lot these days. It has a delicious sweetness from Pear and Caramel, and citrus notes from the Bitter Orange tree - petigrain, bergamot, neroli and orange flower absolute. It has a fair amount of Ambroxan, but it's done well here, just a subtle woody aspect in the drydown with the cedar and cashmeran.

Mendittorosa Odori d’Anima (“scents of the soul”) and sister company Talismans Collezion Preziosa are rare brands into which the owner has put her heart and soul—and anyone fortunate to experience her and her creations, comes away feeling a better person. All of Stefania’s creations are “extrait” concentrates decanted into 100ml, totally original, works of art—literally. Several artists, poets, top perfumers, craftsmen and even dancers work behind the lines to keep every piece original, and you can really feel it. Rituale is truly gorgeous and unique—very golden in nature. Although there are mostly sweet, sanguine–red forest fruits in the opening accords, it isn’t syrupy sweet. I immediately assumed this was a honey scent through and through, but there are white florals, warm, animalics like beeswax and “Golden Stone”, amber, woods. You won’t know what you’re missing until you try it, and I heartily suggest you do, if you’re a true fragrance lover...especially “niche”, I guarantee there’s more here to love than meets the eye!

I will wear Sogno Reale here in Cape Town since I think it would be perfect for the present Summer season, and also suitable as I live so close to the ocean. I have brought with me to South Africa all that you sent, and I have to admit that with your creations I have now become a compulsive fragrance sniffer. I am positive that I will be ordering another fragrance from your collection in the not-too-distant future.

This is one of the more creative fragrances in my collection and it’s quite hard to describe. It’s got a honey type sweet accord accompanied by some dry fruity notes and some florals. I also get a little incense in here even though it’s a note that’s not listed. It’s blended with some other notes to create something that’s nice and warming but above all, mysterious. This one really captures my imagination.
